Who We Are
EMPOWER is development and management consulting firm, based in Yangon, Myanmar. It was established and functioning since 2010 by its primary operators_ Dr Naing and his professional Associates. It was incorporated under the Myanmar Companies Act in 2012 and that the Company is Limited. The incorporation number is 112294759.
The EMPOWER Consultancy is formed with a range of Myanmar Ethnic professionals covering Kachin, Kayan, KayinChin,Shan, Bamar, Mon, Rakhine, with formal educational qualifications, experiences, knowledge and skills in areas such as health, education, agriculture, strengthening capacity of Civil Society Organizations, fund mobilization, program management, research, planning and program design, monitoring and evaluation, and system development. Key members have 10-20 years of vast experiences in the above mentioned area through development projects of international and local stakeholders such as European Union, Global Fund, Three Diseases Fund, Livelihood and Food Security Trust Fund, USAID, AusAID, SWISSAID, DFAT, DFID,GIZ,World Vision International, World Concern International, Oxfam GB, Christian Church Aid, Paung Ku Civil Society Consortium, Food Security Working Group, Metta Development Foundation, Friends for Health, Accountability and Learning Working Group, etc.
To date, EMPOWER serves hundreds of clients around the country. These clients include international government agencies, Myanmar government agencies, UN, INGOs and NGOs. EMPOWER closely work with development stakeholders of each State and Region across country. EMPOWER also provides medium sized enterprises for business plan development and value chain studies. EMPOWER has accomplished over 150 consultancy projects ranging from short term to long term consultancies since its formal operation in 2012.

Ownerships
Empower Consulting is based in Yangon, Myanmar. It is owned by its principle investors and operators. There are 17 members in Board of Directors. All are Myanmar Ethnic People and Myanmar Citizen. Dr Naing (M.B.,B.S, D.T.M&H, M.P.H, Dr.PH) is Managing Director and Chief of Consultants. Now , there are 5 Executive Directors, 12 office staff, 11 full time consultants and 24 part time consultants at operations of EMPOWER.
